Social Studies Questionnaire

The following critical thinking questions will help you study for your Social Studies  Quiz next week. 

You do not have to turn them in for evaluation. This is just guidance!!

Only six of these 10 questions will be picked for the quiz, which will evaluate your analysis of everything we learned in class, and your ability to express your thoughts and ideas. Every answer will be correct if you state your opinion well supported, using examples always help you explain better. 

Ancient Civilizations:

1- Why are geographic conditions so relevant to determine the characteristics of each civilization? 

2- Why do you think all these civilizations based their lives upon the belief that there exists a god o gods that control every fact? 

3- How would our lives be if we lived ruled by a Dynasty or Emperor? Would we all be the same and have the same rights? 

4- Are the achievents of these civilizations relevant for the rest of our history? Why?

5- Mention some similarities and differences among these ancient civilizations. 

6- Of all religious beliefs we discussed about these civilizations, which one called your attention the most and why? 

7- Why was building huge and impressive constructions such as temples and palaces, so important those days? 

8- In their social structures, what was the main distribution or classes? What took a man to be respected and considered? 

9- Why was the source of water so important for the growth of these civilizations? How did they obtain it? 

10- Which of these civilizations did you like the most? Why?
